Taking Back the Words I Said

You might be an Alpha, but you're not mine.
It had been foolish. The words had come out sharp, almost spiteful, and the lift of his chin and the defiance in his eyes had just reinforced that point. He really shouldn't have expected Derek to let it go so easily. But, Scott gets swept away by the normal panic of four weeks until finals when Scott's been absent and I attentive, dealing with Gerard and Matt and the Kanima. He should at least get some sort of extra credit. You know, some sort of Good Samaritan thing. Fifty points for stopping someone from murdering people.
He only wished.
His mother had calmed down, accepted things which made it so easy to forget about the fact that not even three days ago he'd been in the middle of a fight that could have cost his life. Instead they were talking about his outline for his essay in English, which wasn't to say she was ignoring the whole thing. They talked about it sometimes, occasional questions, and Scott was honest with her. As honest as he could be, because he needed her to understand, to love him.
When he went upstairs to his room, it was with the objective of trying to get caught up on his homework. Derek and werewolves and Alphas and all of that were a million miles from his thoughts. So, needless to say, when Derek was brooding in the shadows by his bed, Scott was more than a little shocked. It took a moment for him to remember how words worked, and he wasn't sure if he should be worried that something was wrong, or that Derek was going to do something. He stepped in and the door swung shut behind him, his body language cautious but not defensive.
"Derek.. What are you even doing here?"

Date: 2013-07-13 04:41 am (UTC)Being the emotionally stable individual that he was, Derek let the insult just roll off him... Only not at all. He was pissed. That hurt turned to bitterness, and that eventually turned to anger. Anger directed at Scott because how dare he reject him again, after everything that Derek had done for him. He could have left the guy to die, left him to deal with his changes alone. This is the thanks the he gets!?
"We need to talk, Scott," He all but growls as he steps out of the shadows and walks over to the teen. His eyes are shining red already, and he doesn't give any warning before he grabs the front of Scott's shirt and effortlessly tosses him onto his bed.
"I'm done screwing around with your childish bullshit," He snarls as he walks over to Scott on the bed, glaring down at him with the eyes of an alpha. His claws were already out as well. If Scott was feeling threatened right now, that's because he was.
"Who is your alpha?"

Date: 2013-07-13 05:47 am (UTC)Scott realized he was in trouble at the tone of Derek's voice, that growl as he slips from the shadows and walks in close. His eyes are red and Scott's mentally back-pedalling and trying to figure out what he's done to tick of Derek to this extent. Of course he misses the point entirely, and Derek tosses him onto the bed.
Derek's claws are out and Scott swallows. It's not until that question that it comes back to him; what he'd said and while it might have been flippant it was abundantly clear that Derek had taken it as anything but. If Scott wasn't so stubborn, maybe this would be a good point to try and mend bridges.
"You're not my Alpha," Scott insists, his eyes flashing gold as he tenses and tries to shove Derek off of him, fight him. They both know how well that works, but Scott doesn't take threats well. A low growl hums in his throat as he squirms and tries to shove Derek off of him.

I was there for you through your entire transformation. I played by your rules dealing with Jackson," He's angry, furious really, but it comes from a place of hurt that Derek would never admit that he has.
It almost comes through in his voice, if only he wasn't reacting like this, but he wanted Scott. Not just for his own power, but he wanted him. They were connected and he knew that, but Scott was refusing to see it. Derek cared about his pack so much, but Scott was the one that he always wanted.
"I've done so much for you and asked for nothing except this one thing," He pulls Scott closer to the edge of the bed. "I'm done now, though. You can't have it both ways. You don't get to be an omega and keep taking advantage of me and my pack. Either you join me, or you really will be a lone wolf, and I won't lift a finger to help you or your friends anymore."

Date: 2013-07-13 07:09 pm (UTC)But he has a point. However much of a royal jerk Derek can be, he's also always been there for Scott. How many times has he needed Derek, probably at least as many times as they've clashed, if not more. And he knew that. He'd known that when he'd leveraged with Derek to get him to deal with Jackson his way, when he'd used Derek to defeat Gerard. Derek might be out of line here, but the fact that Scott had been decidedly unfair to him wasn't untrue, which was possibly what made dealing with this so difficult.
Or maybe it was the way that Derek looked at him.
Derek wasn't being particularly fair either, of course. A fact he had to know. Because all of a sudden he made it not just about Derek and Scott, but Scott's friends. If it was just about him, it would be easy to walk his own path. But what about Jackson, Lydia, Stiles, even Allison... He trusted his friends, but what if next time one of them died because of him? Because he was too prideful, too selfish to accept Derek's offer. It was honestly more about Derek himself, about avoiding that connection than it was about Pack.
He growled low in his throat as the Alpha dragged him to the edge of the bed, because Derek had him trapped by his loyalty to his friends and they both had to know it. "What do you want?" As if he didn't think he already knew.

Date: 2013-07-14 05:06 am (UTC)That's what this was about, really. He knew the two of them were connected, that they could be something more and their instincts knew it and were calling out to each other. But if Scott didn't feel the same way, then they needed to end this decisively. Because he couldn't keep going out of his way every time Scott turned his puppy dog looks at him.
So this was him ending this, though in possibly the worst way ever... But Derek wasn't exactly known for his good ideas.
"I want you to say it," He snarls, pulling Scott's hair harder so that he can't look away. "Are you going to be with me or are we done? You either be with me- my pack-" He catches that, and hopes Scott doesn't notice. "Like you know you should be, or we end it here, and you never come asking me for help again."

Date: 2013-07-14 09:08 am (UTC)"This isn't about the pack, is it?"
The words out of his mouth before he even gives himself a chance to think better of it, not that he ever makes that choice. As much as Scott has been trying to fight this, he's starting to get the feeling that maybe he can't. He feels it too, even if the only place he allows himself to acknowledge it are in dreams he'd never even tell Stiles about. Because Derek's right -- he does know that he should be. That somehow they fit together despite Scott's stubbornness and Derek's pride.
There's a moment where his body tenses, and then he exhales, because there's no choice. If there ever was. There's something that shifts, changes in his gold eyes as he keeps looking into those scarlet red eyes, even as his body shivers. He should just give him what he wants. Just say it. But that's hard for Scott to manage, because even when bending, meeting somewhere in the nebulous space between them he's still stubborn.
"Okay. I.. I'll be with you from now on."
Because there was a power, a weight to the words that Scott wasn't entirely comfortable with. You're my Alpha just slipped away from him in that moment where he'd needed to say it.

Date: 2013-07-14 02:42 pm (UTC)He doesn't say anything when Scott pretty much hits the nail on the head. That this isn't about the pack at all really. Though, his eyes to flash in the recognition of it, which against would be easily perceived by Scott when he wasn't letting the teenager look anywhere else.
And then Scott says that he'll be with Derek from now on, and that's... Exactly what the alpha wanted. That was what started all of this, Scott denying that they were supposed to be together, even when Allison showed up as a distraction, there was a pull there. Scott had to have noticed how Derek looked at him all those times, and Derek wasn't oblivious to the way Scoot looked at him when he thought nobody would notice too.
He feels a small sense of victory over that, and a bit happy... But this is still Derek, and healthy sharing of their feelings wasn't an option. And he could still make this about the pack to spare his pride.
So he leans down finally, hissing in Scott's ear. "Who is your alpha, Scott?"

Date: 2013-07-14 03:54 pm (UTC)Except now Derek wins and Scott's finally admitting what they've both known all along, and really, that should be enough. At least, Scott thinks it should. But it's clearly not. Not when Derek is leaning in close, hissing in his ear and demanding that acknowledgement, that admittance that Derek is his Alpha. His breath is hot as it teases against Scott's ear and there's a spark of warmth in his body, from the proximity and the feeling that slips down his spine. Because Derek is hot and Scott is seventeen. He tries to ignore it, swallowing as he focuses on the words, on that demand.
"Derek, I can't." Scott didn't know how to say what the Alpha wanted from him. He was stubborn and independent, and trying to make him surrender to this, say those words was almost impossible.

Date: 2013-07-14 04:33 pm (UTC)"You'll be with me but you won't join my pack? Scotty, we've been over this," Instead of forcing Scott to look at him, now he's pulling the teen closer so that his nose is buried in the alpha's crotch, his face pressed against the bulge in Derek's jeans. He wanted Scott to know what a real wolf smelled like and what he was in for. "You don't get both...
"I told you that I wasn't giving you a choice anymore, so do your duties as my mate now, and then take you as part of my pack whether you want to or not," His fist is still tangled in Scott's hair, not letting him pull back from the growing bulge against his face. It was obvious what he was expecting Scott to do for him now.

Date: 2013-07-14 04:59 pm (UTC)The unfair part is that it gets Scott hard in a sudden rush. Between the feeling of Derek's erection, and the smell of him, Scott can't help the arousal that hits him, clinging to his skin. That doesn't mean he'll do what Derek wants, but it's there, an ember of desire and he swallows uncomfortably. He can smell him, and the scent of the Alpha's desire is so potent to him it's like he can taste it on the air. He's so fucked. He's really hating teenage hormones right now.
He tried to pull back, to escape, get a breath of air that wasn't just the musk of Derek's arousal, that clothed bulge pressing hot against his cheek. But Derek's fingers were tight and it just made it hurt when his hair pulled uncomfortably. Scott was stubborn and indepent and he wasn't going to just give in, especially not like this.
"You really think you can just rape me into being in your pack? Derek, you don't have to.. Don't do this like this."
But he still wasn't saying it, either. They were both terrifyingly stubborn.

Date: 2013-07-14 06:29 pm (UTC)I don't have to rape you, Scott. In fact, I'm not going to because you're going to doing all the work," He loosens his hold on the other wolf's hair just a little, but still keeps Scott's face up against his bulge. He knows what an Alpha's musk can do to an omega. "Don't you get it, Scott? You don't have a pack. You're an omega, even if you're not a traditional one. And I'm an alpha. Alphas can't rape omegas, because your kind always need an alpha. You need me, Scott. Your body is already trying to tell you that," He knows that Scott is getting hard right now, he can smell arousal coming hot and thick off the teenager.
He really wishes that he could make Scott understand that they couldn't just be mated and not be in the same pack, that Scott couldn't be an omega with a pack backing him up. Part of that was because, yeah, Derek was tired of being used by Scott, but biologically it just didn't work. And with the alpha pack coming, which Scott doesn't know about yet, he'd be the first target for them. The lone wolf, even when it was Scott McCall, would always be the weakest.
Derek's free hand moves to pop open the button to his jeans, pulling the zipper down slowly. Even though he was still confined to his boxer briefs, Derek's scent was even stronger now, flooding Scott's bedroom and inundating the teen's senses. "You want this just as much as I do, Scott."

Date: 2013-07-15 05:46 am (UTC)He didn't understand just how risky the game he was playing was. How omegas were usually lost or orphaned, that very few chose to be Omegas. He ignored the urges, the way his wolf ached every time he refused Derek, every time he made that distinction that Derek wasn't his Alpha. Instinct wanted him to be in a pack, and there was something else, a connection he couldn't deny that wanted it to be Derek.
The Alpha's fingers move to pop the button on his jeans, and his first instinct is to tell Derek he's wrong. But, when his scent is stronger in the air, filling Scott's senses because of how close he is, his second instinct is to nuzzle into Derek's cock. There's an utterly shameless whine that hums on his lips as he tries to hold himself back, his body shaking. It's sudden and overwhelming, that moment when it hits him that it's not just teenage hormones, that his body wants Derek.
He's not sure exactly when his restraint breaks, but it somehow ends up with him yanking Derek's boxers down with his teeth. It occurs to him that he's not being particularly convincing, and he tries to pull himself out of it, glaring daggers at Derek as he presses his cheek against the Alpha's length.
"Stop.." His voice sounds less than convincing, even hissed through clenched teeth.
